The short version: Wish & Wrap may earn a commission when you buy a gift through some of the store links in our app or on this website. It never costs you anything extra, and it doesn't change which gifts or stores we show you.
Where things stand today
As of the date above, Wish & Wrap is not yet a member of any retailer affiliate program, and the store links in the app and on this website are ordinary links that don't earn us anything. We're applying to affiliate programs and will update this page, including the names of the programs, as they approve us.
How affiliate links work
An affiliate link is a normal link to a store's website with a small tag added that tells the store the visit came from Wish & Wrap. If you buy something from that store within the store's time window, the store may pay us a small percentage of the sale. The store, not you, pays this commission.
- No extra cost. You pay the same price whether or not a link is an affiliate link.
- The retailer is the seller. Prices, availability, shipping, taxes and returns are set and handled by the retailer, not by Wish & Wrap. Prices can change after you see them.
- Not every link earns. Many stores don't have an affiliate program with us, and some purchases don't qualify for a commission. We still show those stores.
- You can always add anything. You can add a gift from any store, or one with no link at all. Nothing in Wish & Wrap requires buying through a partner.
- Your family names stay private. Affiliate tags identify Wish & Wrap as the referrer. They don't contain your name, your family's names or what's on anyone's list.
How we decide what to show
Gifts on a list are the ones your family added. When we suggest stores for a gift, we pick stores likely to carry that item. When we compare prices, they're sorted by total price including shipping where we have it. Commissions do not decide which stores we suggest or the order they appear in. If we ever show sponsored or paid placements, we'll label them clearly where they appear.
Where you'll see this disclosure
Besides this page, a short note appears next to store links on our website, so you know before you click. The iPhone app will show the same note next to its store links before any affiliate links are switched on there.
